It sounds like the plot of a medical thriller: a government-funded report from the early ’70s warned of grave biological effects tied to microwave radiation. It linked this radiation, of the same frequency and intensity used in today’s wireless tech like smartphones, WiFi, and Bluetooth, to 132 different symptoms, including 23 chronic diseases that would later explode in prevalence. Yet, here we are, 50+ years later, with more devices, more signals, more chronic disease, and zero official acknowledgment from the federal regulators who were supposed to protect us.

The newly resurfaced report, “Safety of Wireless Technologies: The Scientific View”, casts a harsh spotlight on decades of government inaction. Reemerged in February 2025 on ResearchGate, the document is both a wake-up call and a damning indictment of regulatory negligence. It builds upon the 1971 Naval Medical Research Institute (NMRI) meta-study that reviewed 2,311 scientific papers documenting the biological effects of microwave and radiofrequency radiation.

What the Navy Found in 1971

Decades before smartphones took over our lives, the U.S. Navy had already raised the alarm. Lieutenant Colonel Zorach Glaser, PhD, compiled what may be one of the most comprehensive reviews of EMF-related science ever conducted. His report, “Reported Biological Phenomena and Clinical Manifestations Attributed to Microwave and Radio-Frequency Radiation”, detailed 132 biological effects from low-level EMR exposures, including:

And the kicker? The signals reviewed in that report were in the 1-4 GHz range—the same frequency bands used by today’s most common devices: cell phones, smart meters, GPS, WiFi routers, wearables. You name it.

The Rise of Chronic Illness—A Predictable Fallout

Lear, who also authored “The Root Cause in the Dramatic Rise of Chronic Disease”,  analyzed CDC and NIH data from 1990 to 2015. In that 25-year window, 36 chronic diseases more than doubled in prevalence, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and various forms of cancer.

Out of those 36, 23 were explicitly warned about in the 1971 Navy report. This isn’t some fringe theory. This is a straight line from ignored science to national health crisis. According to Lear and Rees, the cost of these 23 conditions alone may exceed $2 trillion annually in U.S. healthcare expenses.

Enter Peroxynitrite: The Smoking Gun

One of the most compelling threads in this report is the identification of peroxynitrite, a reactive nitrogen species, as a central mechanism in chronic disease pathology. EMF exposure disrupts calcium ion channels in cells, triggering oxidative stress, which then generates peroxynitrite. This molecule is extremely damaging, initiating a cascade known as “P-Factor,” which includes:

This isn’t just a hypothesis. It’s backed by hundreds of peer-reviewed studies, many of which were included in the BioInitiative Report—another extensive scientific review that now cites over 2,200 studies linking EMR to health disorders.

The FCC’s Role: A Deeply Entangled Conflict

You’d think the FCC, the federal agency responsible for regulating electromagnetic emissions, would be the first to act on such damning data. But not only has the FCC failed to update its exposure limits since 1996, it continues to use outdated thermal models that only account for heat-related tissue damage.

Worse, the FCC never actually established independent biological safety standards. Instead, it relied on outdated data from the IEEE and ANSI, organizations with deep ties to the telecom industry. This isn’t merely bureaucratic laziness. It’s regulatory capture. The very agency meant to protect us is influenced by the same industry that benefits from denying the problem.

And this isn’t just about passive ignorance. It’s about active obstruction. In 2021, after Children’s Health Defense and other organizations submitted 11,000 pages of peer-reviewed evidence showing the harms of wireless radiation, including links to cancer, oxidative stress, infertility, and cognitive damage, the FCC still refused to update its outdated safety limits. Even a court ruling demanding that the agency explain its decision has been met with silence.

Meanwhile, the telecom industry marches forward, with newer, stronger, and denser networks being deployed across cities and neighborhoods. Small cell antennas are now placed outside bedroom windows and school zones—without consent, public hearings, or any serious environmental health review.

Aires: A Modern Solution Backed by Science

In the absence of federal protection, one company has stepped in with three decades of peer-reviewed research-backed technologies to help mitigate EMF exposure. Aires Tech is one such leader. Their proprietary microprocessor technology doesn’t block EMFs, but rather restructures them into biologically coherent waveforms, reducing the body’s stress response.

Used by athletes, professionals, and families worldwide, Aires products have been featured in 22 global patents, 25+ clinical trials, and 9 peer-reviewed studies that demonstrate meaningful reductions in oxidative stress markers and improvement in biological stability.

Whether you’re wearing the Aires Go on your keychain, placing an Aires Zone Max in your home office, or using an Aires One on your phone, you’re taking back control of your environment in a world full of invisible threats.

What the BioInitiative Report Adds

The 2012 BioInitiative Report, updated through 2022, includes more than 2,200 studies linking low-level EMF exposure to a broad range of biological effects. According to this research, 91% of 288 studies reviewed showed EMFs cause oxidative stress, a foundational trigger for everything from cancer to infertility.

The effects reported include:

This is not theoretical. It’s happening now, and it’s measurable.

Consider this: in 1990, terms like “autism,” “fibromyalgia,” and “ADHD” were virtually absent from the cultural lexicon. Today, they dominate it. Between 1990 and 2015:

It’s easy to write this off as a better diagnosis or increased awareness. But that explanation crumbles under the weight of such exponential growth. Something environmental is clearly at play.

What Can You Do? Practical Mitigation Strategies

While we can’t control federal policy (yet), we can reduce our own exposure:

  1. Invest in proven EMF protection technology from Aires, which has been studied for its ability to harmonize EMF frequencies  (save 25% on Aires EMF protection with code “KYLETOTHEMOON”)
  2. Keep phones on airplane mode when sleeping, carrying your phone in a pocket (preferably back pocket to avoid thermal heat near genitals), traveling, etc.
  3. Avoid smart meters and opt out if possible
  4. Turn off your Wi-Fi router at night
  5. Practice grounding by spending time barefoot on natural earth, which helps discharge built-up electrical tension in the body
  6. Unplug unused outlets and avoid charging your phone near your head at night to reduce nighttime EMF exposure and improve sleep quality
  7. Hardwire your internet connection instead of using Wi-Fi if you are “about that life” (I’m not)

The MAHA Movement, RFK Jr., and the Missing Conversation

In recent years, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) movement have brought serious heat to the conversation around chronic disease, most notably spotlighting food additives, industrial agriculture, vaccine safety, and Big Pharma’s grip on our healthcare system. And while that’s a necessary and urgent part of the discussion, it’s not the whole picture.

The truth is, our chronic disease epidemic is not just rooted in what we eat or inject. It’s also heavily shaped by the environment we’re exposed to every single day. And few environmental exposures are as constant and invisible as electromagnetic field radiation.

Unfortunately, this topic gets very little airtime, even among health freedom advocates. But it matters. A lot.

Each generation of wireless connectivity, from 2G to 5G and now 6G in the pipeline, has been rolled out with minimal safety testing and no regard for long-term biological effects. Regulatory bodies like the FCC, already entangled with telecom industry interests, have turned a blind eye, just as they did back in 1971 when the Navy’s warnings first landed on their desks.

Luckily, tides are shifting. Voices like RFK Jr.’s are inspiring people to look under the hood of mainstream narratives. And as more of us begin to connect the dots between environmental radiation and the rise in modern disease, a new wave of awareness is taking shape.

Final Thoughts: We Were Warned

This isn’t a conspiracy theory. This is institutional neglect. The science is there, buried under decades of bureaucratic red tape and industry lobbying. The same government that funded the Navy’s research in 1971 has turned its back on its own findings. And we’re the ones living the consequences—physically, mentally, and economically.

The good news? Now that the truth is resurfacing, awareness is our first line of defense. Pressure from informed citizens, health practitioners, and advocacy organizations can spark the policy change we desperately need.

Until then, remember: just because it’s wireless, doesn’t mean it’s harmless.
